What is a DMA? DMA Cheats, DMA Cards & Firmware Explained
DMA stands for "Direct Memory Access". A DMA is a physical device that plugs into your PC and has direct access to your computer's memory, without needing your CPU to process anything. This deep level of access to your computer's hardware is what makes DMA cheats so hard for anti-cheats to find and detect.
What is a DMA?
A DMA (Direct Memory Access) device is a piece of hardware that can read another computer's memory directly over a high-speed connection. In gaming, a DMA setup uses two PCs: your main gaming PC, and a second PC that reads the game's memory through the DMA device. Because the cheat software never runs on the gaming PC, the game's anti-cheat has nothing to scan - it only ever sees a normal PC.
What is a DMA card?
A DMA card is the physical board that makes Direct Memory Access possible. It plugs into a PCI-Express (PCIe) slot on your gaming PC and connects to your second PC over a USB 3.0 cable. The card reads the game's memory and sends that data to the second PC, where the cheat software turns it into ESP, aimbot, and radar.
Common DMA cards include the 35T, 75T, and 100T boards. They differ mainly in speed and the firmware they support. Any modern DMA card will work with Blurred's cheats as long as it is running undetected firmware.
How do DMA cheats work?
DMA cheats work by plugging a DMA card into your gaming computer, connecting that DMA card to a second PC via USB, and then running the cheat software on the second PC. This is extremely effective because the anti-cheat is unable to see the cheat software being run - everything happens on a separate machine.
What are "read-only" cheats?
Read-only is a term used to describe DMA cheating software that only reads memory from the game. Writing memory to the wrong regions of a game's memory can cause the anti-cheat to detect the modified memory and ban you. This is why at Blurred we only read memory, allowing for the safest possible experience for our customers.
What is DMA firmware?
Custom DMA firmware is required for cheating on games with anti-cheats. Custom Firmware (CFW or FW) essentially makes your DMA card look like an innocent, legitimate device instead of a DMA card. There are different levels of "quality" of firmware:
- "Basic" firmware is typically used to describe firmware that only copies the same device IDs as the real device, which is mostly good enough for anti-cheats like EAC or BattlEye.
- "Emulated" firmware is typically used to describe firmware that correctly communicates with your operating system using the same messages the real device would. Some anti-cheats may send messages to your device(s) to verify their authenticity, and in theory emulated firmware should bypass these checks.
At Blurred we don't sell firmware, nor do we recommend any particular provider, as most (if not all) firmware providers are shady and/or potential scammers. You need to do your own research and make your own assumptions when picking a firmware provider. We highly discourage listening to people who say a specific provider is the best, as they're likely biased.
What is a KMBox?
A KMBox is a physical device that impersonates a real mouse and allows the cheat to inject aimbot mouse movements, or triggerbot clicks, into the game without the anti-cheat noticing. There are two models of KMBoxes: KMBox Net and KMBox B+ Pro. While we recommend KMBox Net as it's more secure and more efficient, our software is perfectly compatible with KMBox B+ Pro hardware. Devices like Teensy, Arduino, MAKCU, and Ferrum can perform the same role.
What is a Fuser?
A Fuser is a physical hardware device that lets you overlay the ESP from your second PC on top of your game without being detected. Fusers are not necessary to use our cheating software, but we support them if you want to buy one. Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) is the term used to describe the IDs and name of a monitor. Fusers generally come with a stock EDID of a real monitor, but most allow you to spoof/change your EDID to whatever monitor and serials you like. There is no need to spoof EDIDs, but if you want to be "extra safe" you can. If you have one, follow our 4th Gen Dichen Fuser setup guide to flash it.
Are DMA cheats detectable?
For all games with advanced anti-cheat systems, DMA cheating is not "God Mode". There is still always a possibility you could get banned. The main causes of bans are detected firmware, or manual bans. Manual bans occur when you play too obviously, collect too many reports, and get manually reviewed by a human who decides to ban you. Running read-only software on undetected firmware and playing legitimately is the best way to stay safe.
What do I need to start using DMA cheats?
To run a DMA cheat you will need:
- Two PCs/laptops running Windows 10 or 11 (one for the game, one for the cheat)
- A DMA card with undetected firmware
- An input device (KMBox Net, KMBox B+ Pro, Teensy, Arduino, MAKCU, or Ferrum) to use the aimbot and triggerbot
- A Fuser (optional) if you want the ESP on your main monitor

Frequently asked questions
What does DMA stand for?
DMA stands for Direct Memory Access - a hardware method of reading a computer's memory directly, without using the CPU.
Are DMA cheats undetected?
The cheat itself is 100% undetected - because the software runs on a second PC and only reads memory, the anti-cheat has nothing to scan on your gaming PC. What isn't 100% undetectable is the DMA firmware on your card. The main ban risks are detected firmware or playing too obviously.
Do I need two PCs for DMA cheats?
Yes. A DMA setup requires a separate second PC (or laptop) to run the cheat software while your DMA card reads memory from your gaming PC.
Is a DMA card the same as DMA firmware?
No. The DMA card is the physical board that reads memory, while DMA firmware is the software flashed onto the card that makes it look like a legitimate device to anti-cheats. You need both a card and undetected firmware.
How much does a DMA setup cost?
Costs vary by hardware, but you'll generally need a DMA card and an input device on top of your cheat subscription. Blurred's cheats start at $19.99, and you can find recommended hardware in our Discord.
